Frequently asked questions

What is GamePatchLab?

A reference site for game patches and fixes. We document what patches change, which community fixes actually work, and how to troubleshoot updates, in plain language and with every step explained.

Do you claim to test every patch yourselves?

No, and we won't pretend to. Analysis articles are compiled from official release notes, developer statements, and broad community reporting, and we say so. When something is unconfirmed, we label it as unconfirmed.

Are the fan patches and mods you link safe?

We only reference long-established community fixes from reputable sources, and we always tell you to back up your saves and game files first. Every guide starts from a restorable state.

A guide didn't work for me. Now what?

Tell us. Guides carry a last-reviewed date and we correct them when games change. Email admin@gamepatchlab.com with the game, the guide, and what happened.
